Food is consistently good. Baked ziti is a family favorite, as well as the Stromboli. The white pizza is yummy--get a side of tomato sauce for dipping!
Went to Mamas today after a youth baseball game. Had about 25 of us and the staff did a wonderful job. Ordered pizzas for the kids. Parents ordered meals and all came out at the same time and were delish. Drinks were always topped off. I had the baked ziti and it hit the spot! It is always nice to get great service at a restaurant as many don't provide that experience anymore. Well done Mamas staff we will be back again! Would have been 5 stars but the restaurant could use a little TLC. Appears it hasn't been remodeled in about 30 years.
The food is always delicious and the servers are always friendly. Love this place! I eat here several times a month.
Always a great time visiting my childhood pizza joint. I prob ate their pizza one time but it's always the Stromboli for me and my fam. Can't go wrong with that item. The dough is freshly made, the ingredients are well represented inside, the cheese pull is legendary, and the sauce is perfect. Washed it all down with a frozen mug of beer. Everytime you get a new draft..a new frozen mug is delivered with your beverage of choice chilling inside. There is only a few places of culture in Tarboro and this is a must stop.
Had the stromboli on special today. It was delicious! Very glad I stopped in. Service was very nice, although a little bit slow, but we have to remember that it's not a fast food place, so I appreciate the time taken to make it fresh!
Mama's is one of my favorite places to go in Tarboro! If you're looking for Americanized Italian comfort food, look no further! Look past its strip mall exterior. Trust me, you're in for a real treat. What you need to get: the pollo al prosciutto, aka "chicken crack" in my family. This dish, chicken and prosciutto in a creamy, vodka "pink" sauce, is dangerously good. Sub the side of spaghetti for penne with meat sauce. Split this between two people and you'll have more than enough food to go around. Enjoy with a Peroni! Salute!!
